Los Feliz, Los Angeles, California

The Hollywood Hills area is considered home to elite and wealthy residents of Los Angeles. Most of the mansions and private estates (dating back to the 1920s) are located among the hills overlooking Griffith Park. Between Hollywood Hills and the heart of Los Feliz, it's nearly impossible to get through a month without seeing a taping of a popular TV series or major motion pictures.

Located between Hollywood and Silver Lake is Los Feliz. Its two most famous landmarks are the newly renovated Griffith Park Observatory and the Greek Theatre.

Los Feliz is split into two neighborhoods divided by the main thoroughfare known as Los Feliz Boulevard or more commonly to locals as, “The Boulevard.” North of the boulevard you will find larger estate properties. These houses are sprinkled throughout the entrances to Griffith Park and the Greek Theater. South of the boulevard are smaller estate homes. Los Feliz is also home to two houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. He designed the Hollyhock and Ennis Houses. Los Feliz and its nightlife were featured in the film Swingers in 1996. The Greek Theatre is one of LA’s premier outdoor venues. Concerts are intimate and run from April through October. Los Feliz also has its own shopping and dining district that goes by the name of Los Feliz Village. Its most well known late night spots are The Derby, The Good Luck Bar, The Dresden Room and Fred 62. Some notable residents have included Kirstie Alley, Geena Davis, Cecil B. Demille, Madonna and Brad Pitt.
